Inter-House Games Rules.
Boys 5-aside Soccer
i) There must be a minimum of 5 pupils. You may also register two substitutes. (Each pupil who registers will be awarded 1 house point).
ii) Each house can submit up to three teams. For example, if Blue House submits two teams, their team names will be changed to Blue House 1 and Blue House 2. There must be a minimum of four different houses for the tournament to take place.
iii) If you are punished by your teacher for any reason and held back during recess, ie not submitting your homework, not paying attention in class etc, the game will still continue without you/ the game will not be postponed because of you. So think about this...
iv) Once the confirmed schedule is out, the games will start at 1005am and each game will only have a duration of 10 minutes during recess. There is no second half.
v)Throw ins are not allowed. Only kick-ins are allowed. No use of hands, no goalkeeper and a goal is awarded if it scored within the height of the cones. No penalties, only free-kicks. Absolutely no sliding!
vi) These will be self-refereeing games. Each team has to abide by all rules and settle disputes among themselves. They may consult the PE teachers if they wish to clarify certain matters but the final decisions are to be made by the two teams.
vii) These games will be using a league table format where a win will give you three points and a draw will give you one point. A better goal difference will be used to determine the winner if teams have the same number of points at the end of the inter-house games. At the end of the tournament, the top team will be awarded a certain number of points based on the number of teams that have registered. Please refer to the table below.
